Incomplete: My band to play at a ballpark
artoo840Throughout the year I see different bands playing at all levels of baseball. The Kane County Cougars have bands on opening day as well as Saturdays throught the year. We’ve gone to Miller, Great American and Comiskey and bands have been playing outside as well as on the concourse for different events. I play in cover band that plays pop hits from throughout the decades (Brown Eyed Girl and Jenny to All the Small Things and Basketcase) and I would like to be that band. For anyone who reads this, I have contact people at organizations but not been hired yet. I think it would be a fun and different way to be part of the baseball experience.
Hope you get to do that. Do you live near minor league park to help get you started?
We do have a wide variety of options close to us. Unfortunately our band doesn’t have a huge following or name recognition (we’re good but we just don’t play out enough due to everyone’s schedules) so they tend to lean towards bands that bring an additional crowd of people. I get it. I still have reached out to several teams but it hasn’t worked out yet.
