At the age of 12, on April 9th, 1974, I attended the Padres game where a streaker interrupted a PA announcement by new owner Ray Kroc, and he said, “Get that son of a bitch out of there! Throw him in jail!” He went on to say “I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the Dodgers drew 31,000 for their opener and we’ve drawn 39,000 for ours. The bad news is that this is the most stupid baseball playing I’ve ever seen,” which resulted in censure from the players’ union.
