<p>&#8220;One More for the White Rat&#8221;, about the Cardinals&#8217; pennant chase in 1987, was actually a pretty decent read. </p>
<p>Then again, the book covered events that were in the &#8220;sweet spot&#8221; of my baseball fandom (18-24).</p>

Nice field.  Juco ball in these parts is typically pretty good.  Especially loved there&hellip;</p>

He was born in Lufkin and went to Lufkin High School, which hosted the playoff game.</p>
