Earliest baseball memories are going to Angels games at the big A as a 6 or 7 year old and sitting in the first row behind the visitors dugout. My younger brother received game used balls twice in one year (last out of the game). The first time was from Brooks Robinson rolling it on top of the dugout into my brothers tiny 4 year old hands.  The second time it was from Carl Yastrzemski and when some teenager ripped it out of my brothers hands the Yaz yelled at him to give it back, which he promptly did.
