2022 ALPB Championship Series

After beating the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in the Atlantic League 2022 Playoffs in Game 5, the Lancaster Barnstormers advanced to the Championship Series against the High Point Rockers.  I purchased tickets to see the Barnstormers play at home the moment they won the Playoffs, and got tickets for Game 3, being played at Lancaster of the Championship Series.

This would be my first time ever going to any kind of Championship game for any sports team, including baseball.  Not only would this be my first time going to a Championship game, it would also be the first time seeing my local baseball team win a Championship Series in person.  After winning games 1 and 2 in High Point, I was feeling good that Lancaster would sweep the Rockers, and take home the Championship in Game 3.  The Barnstormers took the early lead in the game, and did not give it up, bringing home 6 runs and allowing the Rockers to only score 1.  When the Barnstormers recorded that final out of the 9th inning, the stadium was ecstatic and full of energy.

Trayvon Robinson hit a massive bomb over the right field wall, extending the lead to 5-1, in the 6th, with a 6th run coming home that same inning.

I finally got to see a Championship Game, which will probably be the closest I ever get to seeing a World Series Game, but I got to see my local Lancaster Barnstormers sweep a Championship Series, and win it all.
